Valeris Is Advancing Pharmacy Strategy With the Same Mindset that Powers Our Broader Patient Access Solutions: Enable Value-Based Access at Scale and Do It with Precision
Today’s non-commercial pharmacy is no longer just a fulfillment center; it’s a strategic lever in accelerating speed to therapy and achieving true value-based access. Rooted in experience, equipped with best-in-class infrastructure and technology, and aligned with the future of patient access, the Valeris pharmacy model transforms fulfillment into an orchestrated, outcomes-driven process. At Valeris, we bring the purpose, scale, and precision this evolution demands.
A National Pharmacy Network Built for Continuity, Speed, & Savings
Valeris operates a non-commercial pharmacy network across the US, strategically located to ensure speed, business continuity, and meaningful cost efficiencies for our life sciences partners.
Our East Coast location in Louisville, KY and West Coast site in Scottsdale, AZ allow us to fulfill directly to patients from the location geographically closest to them. This seemingly simple model unlocks significant cost savings for manufacturers by optimizing zone-based shipping across the country. Multiple locations provide inherent business continuity and mitigate the impact of weather-related delays and regional logistics disruptions. It's a pharmacy network engineered for savings without sacrificing service.
Incorporated into our network is our Digital Intake Pharmacy in North Carolina, a covered entity pharmacy designed to streamline eRx intake and digital prescribing directly within the prescriber workflow. With the ability to private label a program pharmacy, this component creates an agile, tech-enabled front door to therapy initiation — optimizing intake, electronic benefit investigations, script transfer, and coordination.
Comprehensive, Integrated Services that Anticipate Needs
Our pharmacy operations are built to support every phase of therapy initiation and ongoing management. We manage Patient Assistance Programs (Direct-to-Patient PAP and Institutional PAP), Bridge, Quick Start, Free Trial, and Voucher offers as well as Starter Kit distribution. We provide ambient and cold chain storage and shipping, and our capabilities extend to controlled substance dispensing as well as support for products with REMS requirements, all with configurable hard stops in the process. In addition to managing wholesale shipments, we utilize fully serialized track and trace capabilities, which are functional across many current clients.
Among our capabilities is a fully integrated cash pay model, built to meet a growing need in today’s access landscape. As patients face growing cost burdens from high-deductible plans and increasingly complex accumulator and maximizer programs, manufacturers are under pressure to offer more transparent and affordable patient-friendly access pathways.
Many of these solutions are disconnected from the broader access model – lacking integration with the hub for patient services, affordability support, and data systems. This disconnect can lead to inconsistent patient experiences, therapy abandonment, and limited visibility into outcomes. At Valeris, cash pay is an added lever within our full suite of direct-to-patient fulfillment solutions – complementing insurance coverage and affordability programs to meet each patient’s unique needs. Fully embedded into our process, our cash pay solution enables numerous digital payment options (including HSA cards) across a secure platform, real-time coordination across systems, and a seamless experience that drives speed, transparency, choice, and continuity of care.

Building On Our Foundation
Valeris has made strategic investments in both patient-facing and operational technology — pharmacy automation, AI-enabled quality assurance tools, and digital engagement platforms that have shown measurable success. We have increased first-call resolution and driven higher patient satisfaction, while reducing agent idle time through automated transcription and AI-driven/keyword-driven call navigation.
Now, with automation implementation nearing completion by year end, we are introducing a fulfillment system that can process up to 600 dispenses per hour with five 9s (99.999%) accuracy. This system includes laser and color video capture of each step from prescription labeling and scanning to virtual pharmacist verification and packaging.
Built to scale, our automation is not just about speed. It ensures quality and consistency across the product fulfillment lifecycle, positioning us for the next generation of pharmacy support.
Why It Matters: Scaling Value-Based Access
In today’s landscape, where manufacturers are under growing pressure to demonstrate value, the ability to support therapy access through an integrated, technology-forward pharmacy solution is no longer optional; it’s expected. Our breadth of services is made possible through a tightly integrated infrastructure, where pharmacy, affordability, and patient support work in lockstep. From traditional fulfillment to forward-leaning solutions, our model is purposely built to remove friction, simplify complexity, and ensure continuity across the patient journey.
At Valeris, we remove barriers that slow access. We collapse timelines. We personalize touchpoints. And we ensure every piece of the fulfillment journey is orchestrated for efficiency and outcomes.
This is more than pharmacy – it’s our way of bringing value-based access to life, at scale.
“Our pharmacy model was built intentionally with the manufacturer and patient in mind,” said Chris Harris, Vice President of Pharmacy Operations and Strategy at Valeris. “By designing our footprint and systems around speed, precision, and flexibility, we’re providing a fulfillment strategy that adapts to the complexity of each therapy. We’re proud of the investments we’ve made and even more excited where we’re headed.”
Looking Ahead:
We are proud to launch a new thought leadership series featuring Jack McGuire, Valeris’s Vice President of Patient Services Strategy & Product Development. As a pharmacist with decades of experience in the industry, Jack offers a unique perspective on the evolution of the pharmacy - not just as a distribution channel, but as a driver of patient access strategy across life sciences.
In the weeks to come, Jack will explore what’s next for pharmacy in patient services, how the industry can align around new technologies, and what it takes to build solutions that scale with complexity. We invite you to follow along.
